N.B: Many of our venues don’t have cranes but if you need boat craning let us know and I’m sure we can sort something out. The Brits are very resourceful.

1.      London - Queen Mary SC

14/15th April 2018

Queen Mary SC, Ashford, London

http://www.queenmary.org.uk/

Extensive piece of water in London. Great club facilities, always a great place to sail 2.4s. A nice way to start the season.

2.  Poole - (Nr Bournmouth )  UK Nationals

26/28th May 2018

Poole YC, Dorset

https://pooleregatta.co.uk

A bi annual event the 2.4s have been at Poole regatta for many years. While the big boats sail in the bay we get the top triangle of Poole harbour. The home of the 2013 worlds the tides and short chop of a large natural harbour is a great place to sail. We sail out of Poole YC for the event. Being part of a larger regatta for such a small boat is great as are the socials and prizes. The largest UK 2.4 event of the year. Camping available on site. Holiday weekend in a beautiful area of the UK is one not to be missed

3.     Surrey -  Frensham Pond SC

June 16th/17th 2018

www.sailfrensham.org.uk

Small pond with the largest 2.4 fleet in the country. Shifty, surrounded by trees in the beautiful Surrey Hills. 2 days of racing with curry, afternoon tea, great fun.

Our first venture across the Irish Sea to a great piece of water. The Lough is big with waves to match. With Irish hospitality and a great protected harbour you can’t really go wrong. There’s a Premier Inn just across the road from the sailing club as well. We are hoping to get some ferry discounts so watch this space.

5.      Near Peterborough - Rutland Inland Championships

27/29th July 2018

Rutland SC, Oakham

www.rutlandsailingclub.co.uk/

A 3 day trip to the midlands to a big inland lake. Great walks, great scenery, great facilities, great sailing. The 2.4s have been going to Rutland for many years and we get looked after very well. Camping across the road with accommodation on site and plenty of hotels near-by.

6.      Gloucestershire - Tewkesbury

8/9th September 2018

Tewkesbury Cruising and Sailing Club, Tewkesbury

www.tc-sc.co.uk

Keith’s home club of the river Avon. Sailing is trickier than it looks on a small river. Going back for our third year. This year we joining their club regatta. If you want great socialising with some sailing on the side this is the regatta for you. Camping on site but also the Abbey town of Tewkesbury is close by.

7.   Near Norwich  -  Norfolk Broads

22/23rd September 2018

Norfolk Broads YC, Wroxham

www.nbyc.co.uk/

A quintessential UK holiday destination, messing about on the broads is a must. Norfolk in the East of the country in very beautiful surroundings with some good sailing on a large broad. Great hospitality by the club has made this a firm favourite in the diary.
