2.4mR Inclusive World Championship:
Heiko Kröger successfully defends his
world championship title

The 2.4mR Inclusive World Championship (July 28 to August 3) came to an end with a day without wind and no further races. After nine completed races, it was clear what had been on the cards throughout the regatta: Heiko Kröger successfully defended his World Championship title and won the Open Class for the third time and the 14th time at a Para World Championship. His long-time rival Megan Pascoe from Great Britain had to settle for third place. Second place went to Christoph Trömer from Stade. Italy's Antonio Squizzato and Davide di Maria completed the podium in the 2.4mR Para World Championship. A total of 85 athletes from 18 nations took part, 21 of whom also competed in the Para class. 2.4mR Inclusive World Championship

The 2.4mR Inclusive World Championship (July 28 to August 3, 2024) will be packed in the port of Kiel-Schilksee. A total of 90 athletes from 16 nations have registered for the World Championship .Sailors from the USA and Canada have traveled the furthest. The organizers and the President of the International 2.4mR Class Association, Heiko Kröger, are delighted with the number of entries. For the first time in Germany, the Open World Championship and the Para World Championship of the class will be sailed at the same time.

Eric Twiname once described sailing racing as like 'Going up the down escalator', by which he meant that the boat that made the fewest mistakes got to the finish line first

British Tidal Championship – up to 32 knts

.Report of the International Poole Regatta 2024 from 25th -27th May 2024.

The entrylist consisted of 13 participants of 5 countries of which some came directly from the SaarLorLux Regatta.

Activities started on Friday with craning of some boats with elbow grease, other boats were launched by the slipway. In the evening Paul had reserved for all sailers and „coaches“ a table at the Lakeyard Marina with a view on the battlegrounds for the next 3 days where a nice dinner was served in high spirit.

The Frensham Frenzy 2024.

I don't think you could say that this year's Frensham Frenzy was frenzied, but even light winds at Frensham fry brains. The forecast wasn't looking good but in true Frensham style everyone rigged and chose their boats for the conditions.

RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show 2024

Come along to the Dinghy Show and see the new 2.4

built by Composite Craft. Designed by Dave Hollom. It is a similar design to many Dave’s boats. She is significantly lighter than many other designs but building on her hull shape to induce righting moment. The class primarily sails one type of 2.4 with a few modifications and it is interesting to see if there is a faster design out there. That is the beauty of the 2.4. We all sail a 2.4 but how we get to that number can be very different. (Read more)
